Khalid Sarab MSc, BSc (Hons), CCEE, CCP, MBCS, AMInstLM, CITP, MCTS, MCITP, IEng, MIET

Hi, welcome to my site, my name is Khalid, I work as a hands on Technology & Infrastructure manager within the financial services industry. I have a keen interest in IT systems, services and solutions. I have worked in the IT industry for over 15 years now, by day I get involved in various Systems and Infrastructure Operations related activities and by night... well more or less the same!

During what little spare time I do get I try to spend with my family, I have a wife who is great support during long projects and three girls which are growing at the speed of knots! its dolls and loom bands one week and iPads and kickboxing the next, yes kickboxing! as long as they avoid me I don't mind.

My passion for computing was instilled at college then further reinforced when i studied for a BSc(Hons) in computer Science and information systems. This was followed up by an MSc in information systems from the university of Liverpool. I take continued professional development very seriously as its an important way to maintain that edge in the fast pace world of IT, its also a pertinent way of remaining steadfast in the face of growing organisational infrastructure challenges.

I am certified as a Microsoft certified IT Professional and a Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer in virtualisation. I am also a Chartered IT Professional with BCS and an Incorporated Engineer with the IET.  I am also an Associate of the Institute of Leadership and Management.

I have a growing interest in virtualisation and cloud computing, which inspired me to put this site together. I have worked on numerous projects and worked with loads of different technologies so this site is a small but growing compendium of useful nuggets, tips and other info that i have found useful over time and there maybe something here that may help you get out of a sticky situation!
